At the southwest end of Moses Lake, before you come to the spillway into the Potholes Reservoir, there is a boutique winery that you can boat to or drive (as in a wheeled vehicle) to: Camas Cove Cellars.  If you plan to spend some time at the Sand Dunes over the Memorial Day weekend, you will be right by the winery.

This evening we opened Thelma & Louise, a white blend.  Coming directly out of the refrigerator, pears are the aroma and taste with a hint of apricot.  But as the wine temp raises, the dominant acidic texture gives way to a lovely minerality and a smoothness due to the two years of oak conditioning.  I prefer it on its own, but this evening’s shrimp salad was lovely with it.
