Midterm is in, additional assignments are in and the next wave has been received. But tonight is the night to play hooky – hope everyone has a happily ghoulish and safe night! Cold as we were yesterday morning, we are enjoying a balmy mid-fifties night for trick or treating. My favorite part of Halloween is giving treats to the kids that come dressed up to my door. Reminds me of me and my friends rushing from house to house as kids in a neighborhood where everyone knew us and pretended to be stumped by our costumes.
By the way, our Stan Clarke Merlot is smelling much better with the addition of a little oxygen to the barrels; still a little funky, but now the grape and oak comes through. Nice to have it back on track.
My Petit Verdot is at -1 degrees Brix, so technically dry. As I progress through hand pressing I will keep you informed.
