Fixed our trailer problems and left civilization for Diamond and Crater Lakes in the Southern Oregon Cascade Mountains, which meant we were unconnected for three days! It also meant that the blogs I wanted to post didn’t make it, so they are now scheduled. I have discovered photos are difficult to load on tentative connections, so I will have to wait until I am home to show you the stunning beauty of Crater Lake. There is still snow on all of the local peaks; the East side of the rim (the rim drive is over thirty miles!) is still closed due to snow. It was a spectacular day with blue sky reflected in the clear waters of the lake. We rode the motorcycle up, expecting to be cold at least part of the way, and it was lovely.
Tomorrow is a ride through the Redwoods in Northern California – no snow or hail predicted. Hoping for more incredible photos to share!
